How to prepare your wall for printing

A successful wall print starts with a suitable surface. A few photographs and clear measurements help us assess preparation before the visit.

Check the surface

The wall must be dry, clean and stable. Flaking paint, dust, damp patches and damage need attention first. Printing does not conceal cracks or texture. If the wall has recently been painted, follow the paint manufacturer’s drying and curing instructions and discuss timing with us before the appointment.

Provide access to the work area

We need clear space in front of the wall to set up and move the printer. Agree which furniture to move and tell us about fixed obstacles such as radiators, stairs or changes in floor level. Include a wide photo of the room. Working space and the printable area are assessed for each location.

What to send beforehand

Provide your preferred print width and height, a straight-on wall photo and a close-up of its surface. Tell us the material, colour and any recent treatment. An unusual surface may require a test. Discuss future care too: the appropriate cleaning method depends on the surface and finish.
